3 more questions....... will the motor mounts match up with this motor and my car?? or is there a lot of rewelding involved?
V6 or straight 6?
and..... will i need the trany from that motor or will my 5speed stick trany match up with it?

sorry for all the dumbass questions but i just know the bare basics about cars if you cant tell.....
thanx

There are some V6 MX3 parts you will need, Crossmember or maybe the whole subframe. I'm not an expert on this so I don't know everything you need.
Not sure about the tranny, I think the G series will but not the F. If you're keen on doing it, check the archives on this board for more info. You could probably get the tranny from the wrecked Mx6/pgt
You'd also need the wiring harness and ECU, and of course the upgrades to the exhaust, and fuel pump(?) Well, the stock protege fuel pump might ork but I don't know forsure. Check the protege FAQ and the archives here for more info.

well i did the v6 swap and all the parts you need are listed..
-v6 engine from probe/mx-6/626 or the j-spec one
-v6 tranny from probe or mx6 or mx3
-mx3 engine wiring harness
-mx3 or mx6/probe ecu
-mx6 or mx3 vaf sensor depends on what ecu your runing
-mx3 engine mounts(all of them) and crossmember
-mx3 driveshafts all 3
-v6 starter and alternator(can't use the protege one)
that pretty much covers it all i did this swap by myself and if you have any question for me feel free to ask i have a kf-ze j-spec v6 in my 91 protege and let me tell you its one fast *** little car
