Muffler questions

I want to get a muffler for the time being. I don't want something too loud because at school there is a G1 pro with a muffler on it, and it's the loudest car up at school... Not cool unless you can back that sh*t up!

Anyways, I want something that looks nice, has a nice tone, and isn't really loud. I don't care if it's genaric or not, I just think that my car will sound real good with a nice muffler on it. Thanks!

Hey, FlowMaster makes a nice sounding exhaust...not loud, jus a nice mellow tone when u start your car up.
And Bosal Makes a Sweet exhaust thats a little bit louder than Flowmaster.

http://www.flowmaster.com
http://www.bosal.com

Those are the websites if you need more info.
The Prices for jus a muffler with out a tip!, are $100-$170
For the types that are not very loud

Mufflers and Noise

Most of the loud-blatty-tin-can-sounding imports sound that way because they don't have resonators. Any universal exhaust will be a bit quieter with a resonator still intact in the exhaust system. It may hold a few ponies behind the stable doors, but your sanity will remain intact. You still get the "sound" if that's all your after.

I have had luck with an aerospeed duel dtm style. It was only 120 and with the resinator in and the gen 1 engine, gives a nice but suttle tone.

The Bosal cat back exhaust is a little loud but its a great sound. And its really only loud when you punch it. Its not nearly as loud as most trucks or hondas or mustangs I hear driving around. And bosal offers a dampening cone if you think its too loud. I personally think its perfect. Its not a high pitched whinning like hondas & it doesnt knock over trashcans like most trucks. And it adds a decent amount of power that can be felt.
