MP3 swap

Hello! I have a 93 Protege GT (twin cam 16 valves BP-DE) and my friend sell is MP3 engine. I'm not sure if this engine can replace mine. Can I swap my engine for a MP3 engine? If yes, is it difficult?

If it could swap in it would be a waste of time.

What about the front clip from a US Probe (non-gt), don't they have a version of the FS engine in there?

I didn't know that the canadian version of the PGTs had a BP in it, that's actually pretty cool.

I would be willing to go out on a limb and say (which I've said before) the BP is a much better starting point than the FS series engine. The BP has a great aftermarket, especailly with the turbo options out there.

no ! I highly doubt the motor would fit ,
There would be mounting Problems ...
The 2nd and 3rd gens use identical mounts on the passenger side. the 1st gen has a totally different mount.
The rear mount is also different..
The 1st gen attaches to the lower crossmember, but the 2nd gen& 3rd gen's don't..

Why would you want to change your BP for an FS anyway...
The BP is a very good and extremely strong motor..

I don't get why you'd want this motor to begin with. The MP3's have always been known to be slower than 1st gen 5-speed LX's / GT's. Your BP is a better motor anyways.
That's interesting, I didn't know that. Does anyone has any ideas of what the MP3's run stock?
