My Dad's B2200 is a carburated engine, but it's also an 89 ....so no that wouldn't work. But if the newer B2200's use a VAF, then it might fit. I know the RX7 adapter fits.

You could just buy one of these from eBay .. I see them all the time. $13 isn't bad for a cone and an adapter ..

Nope, sorry. Just search eBay under "Protege" ... there's always at least 5 of these things for sale at any given time.

the link you posted beachnut..would that fit directly onto a '94 pro? if so, would you say that it's better than a K&N-type drop-in filter?

Yes, the adaptor plate fits up against the MAF, and attaches to the filter. This filter would flow better than a k&n dropin because it eliminates the airbox, allowing more air to be sucked in through the cone. Hope this helps.

i need replies asap. this auction ends soon, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6770 it's for an intake adpater. it's at $4.50 right now plus $6 for shipping, but could i get this cheaper at a store? if so, what stores would have one? and if they don't have one for the pro, what other model fits directly?

that one actually looks halfway decent, good clearance for the bolts (i've seen some where the holes are too close and you can't even get the nut on the stud) looks like good machine work and for the price, it's a good deal.
