computer yes. you should have gotten the gtx ecu with the engine unless you bought it from some junkyard or person. im running the gtx ecu with stock harness, but corksport did the wiring, 2 custom wires that i can tell by. you can run a haltech computer too, but thats over a $1000. the vaf though, no the one you have will do.

96 is the start of OBD II, I thought you had a 96.. 95 should be pretty much the same as your 91. Different A/c and stuff, i guess.

well, thanks to the long weekend, I dont get to finish up my car until wednesday since the guy who owns the shop im doing the swap at is at the cottage. Ill post on weds to tell you all how everything works out. Im putting in a 95 engine into my 91 EGT plus 95 tranny, new clutch, fuel filter, fuel pump, linkage, rad, repairing my muffler and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. I just hope my existing wiring harness and ECU will run the engine fine..... (funny how ive put over 4 grand into my thousand dollar car and it still is a piece of....) the total cost of the enigne swap excluding my hard work = $450 cdn. only because I got lucky.........this time

(those from ERDT should know of my previous bp hardships!)
