Crx This !!!!!!

well as u guys can remember it is me who ask for u guys opinion about the CRX or my 323........anyhow i didn't get the CRX . y because i like this mazda i think it is very unique......but then i need some help. i bought a bp 1.8 dohc engine last week and im doing the swap on 2/20/03 and here's what i have before the swap and if missing something please let me know and list it down. thx..
BP ecu, engine wire harness, complete engine including the intake manifold and exhaust manifold...

Here's some stuff that im not sure i need;
1) dohc engine mount on the cam sprocket side
2) AFM can i use my sohc? will it matter if i use DOHC AFM ?
3) im using my stock sohc tranny, will it be able to take the 7,400
redline then POWERSHIFTING?
4) can i use my sohc alternator?
5) how much horsepower and torque does this bp 91-94 engine have? (dohc)
6) would i be able to hit atleast 15.7 on a 1/4 mile (streettires, full interior, stock engine)?
7) whats a carb legal headers can i buy for this engine?

THANKS FOR UR HELP......

I can answer some of your questions I believe.

2. If you mean air flow meter aka. VAF/MAF then yes they are apparently the same. If you have both, use the one that came with the engine just to make sure.

3. Your transmission should be fine, but powershifting isn't that good for the drivetrain components.

5. The stock figures are around 124hp w/ 114ft lbs torque

6. If you're a decent driver and then engine is tuned and running properly, then yes I think you should be able to be in mid 15s.

7. I'm not sure about CARB legal, but I know Genie has a header for the BP, there was a thread a little while ago about it.

Exclamation

I would recommend that in the near future you get an LX tranny because I know from experience that the stock sohc tranny is weak. (I blew mine with the stock sohc)

That's not too common. The tranny can be used for B6T engines that produce more power and a lot more torque. If he can get the tranny from an lx cool, but if not he should be fine with the meager power levels of the BP.

I would suggest getting a lx Transmission they can handle good power. Some people have had good power gains with the Na bp motor I think u can use the Rx7 Vaf sensor to get decent power gains and advancing the timing .. Not sure ..Jon

I don't think the stock 323's F tranny bellhousing will match up to the BP... anyhow, you'll need to figure out which engine mounts work, you'll need new axles if you're going to use the LX's tranny also. You might also need the subframe from the pro

there was one other guy who did the swap before... I don't know who it was... but he posted about it here before... you'll have to dig up his post and ask him what he did
