So you are saying that with around $705 I can get to 200whp?
The $750 being for a VJ-20 turbo, manifold, and GTX injectors.
This seems way too cheap ....

What about a high flow fuel pump? ignition ****? S-AFC? gagues?
Also, wouldn't you need an intercooler setup to reach 200whp?

Braden sells the turbo and manifold for around 500 .U will also need a intercooler and piping(starion or Npr) sell for around 300. Injectors and fuel rail around 150. Fuel pump is around 200 i think the guages and electronics depends on what u want. Depending on how much work u do urself u can prob get it done for 1500 with good deals. im not sure if the lx ecu will work or what Pros and cons the gtx ecu have over the lx ecu. i never looked into it im buying a haltech for mine ..Jon

Out of all these things what is needed to get the turbo running, at obviously low psi? The turbo itself and the manifold, gauges. What else is a must to get the turbo rolling?
I have been thinking about it for a while and I don't know where to start. Should I get everything together and install it at once or start slowly and upgrade one thing at a time thus increasing psi and horsepower output.

I have no idea about the lx ecu. I know with the GTX ecu it will run around 12 psi. Which is a good amount of power. Theres alot of small things u will need so i would say u could get it done for 2000. maybe less if u get good deals. U will need a downpipe also. And a full exhaust will be a good thing to get ...Jon

Why can't you just take the head off your old bp and put it on the new bpt to get better flow, or is that not possible?

Im very tired right now but let me try to clear this up. Im def not reading 7 pages of BS to make my point it seems clear enough. Most people don't stay happy with 200 hp. So ur better off preparing for the future and getting a bpt. As for the Threat comment i dont wanna see u in person because u might turn me gay. If i wanted to threat u i will instant message u ... night Jon

why not just get a j-spec bp with low km's and then turbo it
thats what i'm gonna do
i didn't go with the bpt cause the crappy head, lower cr and not worth paying for a turbo i'm not gonna use and i'm gonna have to get bigger injectors any ways so why a bpt,
almost same engine but cheaper and better

The head is cheap.. Stop bitching over the head. im talking about stronger internals. if ur looking for serious power then find a lx head or P&P the head throw a bigger turbo on it. but for 200 hp it will do fine for less money ..Jon

Just to play the smart *** in this thread, if you get a bp head and put it on the bpt short block, then you've got supposedly a high mileage head on a low mileage short block.
