Damn man, sorry to hear about that. The main thing is that you're OK!! If she's a write off, what are the plans? Pick up another Protege5 or what?

Dude, that sucks. It's even worse when there was nothing that could be done to stop it (like T-B or blind side).

On aa lighter note, he could be the second member of the Protege/WRX club...

Thanks guys, I'm donig ok... still no news on what will be happening with the car; I'm actually hoping that there is enough damage that the car will be written off. As for what I will be doing in the future... I'm not sure yet. If its a right-off, I won't be without wheels; as my girlfriend won't be needing her car for a bit, so I may just use hers. If its repaired (hopes against), I have an Autopac loaner to use until then. I have pictures if anyone is interested... just LMK corman77@hotmail.com I get lots of spam in there so make sure the title says soemthing distictive k.

Here's the scoop on what happened:
At about 5:30 last Tuesday, I was travelling down Ellice avenue approaching Century. There must have been a red light (or it just turned green I don't remember which), so I was starting to slow down. I was in the left lane, and the right lane was full of cars waiting to proceed through the lights. In the Value village parking lot exit, a truck was wanting to turn left to head east, so the cars in the left lane, left him a hole that he could travel through. Well, the dumb ****** gives'er hell out of the parking lot and T-bones my car; I had no time to react or anything. The impact spun my car 180 degrees into the one of the eastbound lanes and block the westbound lane still; the dumb asses truck spun 180 degrees oppisite of his initial posistion blocking both eastbound lanes of traffic. I called 911 with my cell (took three tries to type it in right), and asked for an ambulance to be sent as my friend was having problems with her neck.

We were both ok luckly, but they had to use the jaws of life on the passenger side of the car to get Michelle out. So there is additional damage right there.

Well here is the latest... Autopac has placed the initial damage at $14K and my car has been moved to Gerry Gordens for further evaluation. So I hope it means it will be written off. As it was a lease, I'm out what I've put into it so far, but I don't want my car back now.
