Wheel Prices

Rishie- I woulda sent this as a private message, but your mail box is full.

Im in the process of getting money to order some wheels (and theyll be from you, no doubt).... but I need to find out how much the setup will cost. Im looking at a set of 17inch OZ Racing Superleggera wheels in white wrapped with a set of Toyo TS-1 tires (215/40/17, unless you recommend otherwise).

On a related question. Can Rishie get the OZ Superleggra in Gold? I've read that they are reserved only for Subaru vehicles but I really like that gold color. I'm wondering if it will go well with a BLue P5. How much would a 17x7 Gold Superleggra be with Kumho 712's? I don't really care what tire is used so long as it's not rediculously expensive.

I wish tirerack had more wheel selecton. I was hoping the gold rims would look as good on a blue p5 as they do on a Subaru. I know the blue is different but it's tough when all you can do is imagine.
White does look good on blue and red p5's though. I have to agree.

Rishie, also, are there any te37 lookalike wheels that come in 17" or 18" but are cast and thus much cheaper? Finally how much does an 18" tire cost compared to a 17" tire, on average. I'm not asking about incredible racing tires. Just something to get me around.

Thanks

Gold Superleggeras only fit Subarus (great offset, wrong bolt pattern) .. look at the bolt pattern
And I don't think the white ones are made in the right sizes for Proteges either.

From the oz-boutique.com website:
The Gold Superleggera is available in a 17x7 (offset 48) and 18x8 (offset 51) sizes exclusively for Subaru brand vehicles.

The White Superleggera is available exclusively in a 17x7 for 4 lug (4x100) vehicles.

What is wrong with the bolt pattern? Looks like a good 5 bolt pattern. Perfect for the Protege.

I must be missing something. The offset is also terrific as you mentioned. The white one only has a 4 bolt pattern. Is that what you meant?

hmm, i must be missing something too.... those sure as hell better fit the protege (the white ones) or i must be insane, because Roger Foo uses those wheels on his P5.

so.... i must be crazy? no, you must be

I've read that Roger Foo converted his P5 to use a 4 lug wheel. The white Superleggra only comes in 4x100 guaranteed.
OZ website

It says the following at the bottom:
"The White Superleggera is available exclusively in a 17x7 for 4 lug (4x100) vehicles."

Sorry but if you want the Suerleggra you may have to get the titanium grey or possibly the gold. Hopefully Rishie will reply to this mesage soon.

As for the gold. On tirerack if you enter your car as a WRX the gold 'leggra is available as well as the grey one. Obviously, both will fit a WRX. For a P5 on tirerack, the silver is available but the gold is not. However, since both will fit the WRX and the silver fits the P5, it's fair to assume the gold will fit the P5 as well. It's just supposed to be a Subaru exclusive wheel, which is stupid. I need someone who can photoshop to put this on a blue P5.

It was listed in another thread in this forum...

Subaru bolt pattern = 5 x 100 mm
Protege bolt pattern = 5 x 114.3 mm
or 4 x 100 mm for older Proteges

The gold would look fukin' sweet though.
Time to look into powdercoating.

yikes , you're right about the 5x114 bolt pattern. That totally sucks. It's tough to find wheels with 5x114. Mostly just 5x100 out there.

I'm very confused by this. Since tirerack recommends many tires for the Protege5 that have 5x100 patterns but not 5x114. In addition, Rishie has mentioned it the long sticky post for wheels that the OZ Superleggras are a good fit for the P5. I don't know what to think now. I've sent messages to Rishie by email and private messages on the other Mazda forum(his PM are full on this site) and have gotten no replies. Hopefully he visits this thread and can give us the final verdict. Perhaps there is a way to mounth 5x100 wheels on a car with stock 5x114 wheels, I just don't know.

Sorry for all of the posts but I did some copying and pasting with the images at tirerack.com. I copies gold wheels onto the blue P5 to see how it looks. I was wondering if gold would look as good with midnight blue as it does with the rally blue of a WRX or MP3. You be the judge:

The wheels you see are: (from top left to right, then bottom left to right) SSR Competition 18", OZ ProDrive P1 18", OZ Superleggra 17", OZ Superleggra 18"

Hope you like it, I know I do.

The OZ superleggerra is a great fitment in both diameters. Unforunately the gentleman are correct in that white is 4 lug, Foo conversion, and the gold is subie only, 5x100.

our cars use a 5x114.3 boltpattern and can only get the anthracite. I will price this out, check availability and shoot you an e-mail or PM.

Sorry for the delay, we had a race yesterday. Sean did awesome with his MP3, switch to Ground Controls.

Thanks,Rishie

ditto! Though I'm in Canada so that could foul things up. I'd still like to know what you can sell them for. I have some questions for you about how you ship internationally.
