what's a nice light weight rim?

Kosei K-1's, Konig Helium (I don't know if they make them in 17s though), Rota Subzero, OZ Superlegara (very expensive), SSR Competition, Velox PG-5S.. etc.. many
Wil's rims wont fit ProtegeES's Protege, thats a 4 lug rim, these modern proteges with their crazy 5-lug setup..
Depends on how much money you've got to spend on wheels..

Unfortunately, the Konig Heliums are only available in 4X100 bolt pattern. If you have a 01' ES you won't have be able to mount the Konig Heliums. The SSR Comps and Velox P5-G's are very expensive wheels. SSR's in 17's will run you almost $400 a wheel and the Velox are $470 per wheel.

P5 DO OR DIE, it's the Axis Maglite.. kinda cool looking wheel.. shows off your brakes ALOT since it's only a 4 spoke..
I don't think anybody has those on a real car yet, somebody should go for them!
