Which tires are better?

I'm getting 5zigen inperio s-08 hyperblack in a few days with yokahama avid h4........215/40r17.
would 35r17 be nicer?
or anything else?

I'd stay with the 215/40, as it's closer to stock diameter, and your speedo will still be accurate. But I'd go with the ContiExtremeContact ($89 at Tire Rack) if you want all-season, or the Yoko ES100, Kumho 712, Dunlop FM901 (all around $85-100) if a summer tire would do.

Ya ... what davard said.

You don't want a 35-series tire if you can help it. The only people who run 35's are also on 18" rims and that's the only size available that fits.

Does it even come in a 35-profile 17" size?
Even if it did, I suppose they would have to be something like 245mm wide to get the correct diameter. hehehe

Well some ppl told me that if i put 35 on it the mags would die pretty fast cuz its too heavy...and with all the whole with got in montreal...
so imma stay with 40...for now...
first mags ever...

I have 205/40/zr17 Falken FK451 on my Konigs. They have a really low profile look and the tread wear is good as long as you rotate them every once in a while. They also have an aggressive tread pattern

sure, they make them. but they're completely too big for proteges.
