RX-7 Wheels on P5

Hey, I'm new to the board here. I just bought an '02 P5 and I'm loving it. This car replaces my beater '87 RX-7.

I have some 15 x 7 Konig Burner wheels from the RX-7. I'd like to run summer tires on the stock 16's and put snows on the old 15's. I know the bolt pattern is the same, and as far as I can tell the offset is similar. Does anyone have any idea if the hub diameters are correct? If not, is there a spacer or something I can put in the Konigs to make it correct? What about the lug nuts?

Thanks!

Here's the answer...

Since no one knew the answer it my question I tried the 15" rims on the P5 this weekend. Here's the results:

The short version is yes, they do fit.

Long version:

I have to get some hub rings from Konig or somebody to make the wheels hub-centric.

The difference in width between a stock P5 rim and a 7" RX-7 rim is all to the outside of the hub. The wheels stuck out from the fenders just slightly. My monster wide AVS Intermediates didn't help that though...

The 205/50-15 tires from the RX-7 are about 3/4" bigger diameter. I'm going to get some 195/55-15 snows to replace the larger ones. This will be the same as the P5 stock tire diameter.

So there you go. Hope someone found that helpful.

I should have the hubrings for those things. otherwise contact tires.com as they are the major Konig distributor.

Sorry I didn't get to your question in time. Be careful of big dips as you don't want to hit your fender. Good luck. I still got my second gen RX7's. Can't bear to part with them.

Thanks, Rishie

Your P5 hub diameter is 67.1, the wheels centerbore should be a 73mm.
