Talking Nice looking, not so expensive rims...?

I'm in the market for some nice 16" or maybe 17" wheels for my pro, the lighter the better. I would love to get a set of OZs but they're too damn expensive, what brands do you recomend for around 600$us for the whole set? 700$ tops.
If you think it's impossible to get good looking and performing wheels for that price, please let me know.

thanx

Konig Helium's are cheap and light... I'm not sure about the 17s, but I could get a pair of 15s with tires shipped for $660 from www.whalentire.com ... I looked for 17s but couldn't find them. I wanted 16s, but they don't make them

There are plenty of decent rims you can get for about 600-700/set. Probably not 18s, but some nice 17s. For instance, I am looking at some ADR Sokudo10, 17x7, +48 offset These come in at about 650-700 shipped with hardware, no tires.

Try www.revolutionsmotorsports.com - they sell Rota wheels which are great replica wheels. Very nice quality as well! They are not "ricer" wheel at all. I bought some (17" Battles) for my WRX and they only cost me like $850 + shipping or something like that with Falken Azenis tires on them. The only thing is that they are made in 5x100 bolt pattern. I don't know what ours is...

Later,
~ Joe

[edit] D'oh...they only make them in 17x7.5 - sorry!

Just an FYI, the Rota wheels in the +48 offset require some additional machining to the hub depth. Please contact us to assure that you'll be receiving a wheel that will fit in the end. This is only a problem in the rear of the proteges.

BTW, I don't believe the helium is made in our fitment or boltpattern.

Feel free to contact Kim or Cecil at Cosmic Marketting, the Rota US importer, and they will confirm what I've said. 510-786-1726.

Thanks, Rishie

We also offer Sokudo and the as well. I do know that the Blatant will fit in a 17" size and would probably pick that over any of the others due to it's weight and style.

I have these in chrome. 17" with a +40 offset. Rishie hooked me up. They were $1800 w/ tires. I don't know if you want to spend that much but Racing Hart makes pretty good wheels. http://www.dazzmotorsports.com/wheels/68.jpg
