Well around here there is a high Mexican population and chrome seems to be favored. Especially where i live, there is a high percentage of chrome rims on all kinds of cars. Nearby New Braunfels is the same. But that's the point, right? Too much chrome, not enough originality. I wanna be an individual just like everyone else (hahahehe!)!?!?

yeah black or gunmetal will do that, even here we have a high mexican, black, and wigger population so chrome is abundant(as are my laughs, some thing about watching an escalade with 26's burn through brake pads while trying to slow down from racing me) Silver rims are also far too common so if you want to be an individual like my self(1) dress gothic (2) paint car black (havent gotten to that yet) (3) make the car as demonic as you can

Kinda funny - I am up in B.C. (canada) and I rarely see chrome rims on the Mazda 3 (partly the reason why I got them - besides the fact that I think they look great!), and people are aways gawking at my rims (when it isn't bloody well raining and they are clean, that is!)

Chrome looks best on Trucks and Old Hot Rods. On compact cars I think it looks silly and it really hurts your performance.

Alot of the time especially around here most of those "POS" cars that get new rims (chrome) are like income tax wheels. mine aren't. i've also seen junky cars with enkeis, konigs and the like. it all depends on the individual. but what makes us happy is the key. every one to their own. I guess now I like newer cars w/showy rims as long as they're tasteful. Who really cares if someone else doesn't approve. in the meantime I'll be driving on chrome and I've never really heard any criticism to my face. Are they scared? Who knows. I have heard compliments though. I really don't need "respect" from anyone including this forum. I think it'd be nice to have all different types of pros with different rims on them. But then again thats my opinion and all I am is a noob. But a noob with some knowledge of what its like to be civil and considerate!

Well said Mazdabel, I didn't know how to respond to mthegodfather after he bashed me having rims on my 3! As long as what you do to your car makes you happy, that is all that matters! That is my 2 cents, for whatever it's worth!

T'is true. Only you can really decide for yourself what it is that you want.

I'm sure not everyone likes my 'show' wheels as much as me, but I just say and and sometimes give the face!

LOL
