P5 OEM Wheels

Hey P5 owners, as you can see, I own a 626, but cannot find a decent forum for my car.

Anyways, I was wondering how I would get ahold of some aftermarket P5 Wheels. I know about tirerack.com and the performance wheels they sell there, but I dont want those. I would like to stick with the Mazda logo and the P5 alloys/chromes look really nice, and would look good on my 2001 626.

Also, what size do they come in? I am hoping either 16 or 17's.

Thanks in advance.

MP3 Racing Hart rims would look good, but they're VERY expensive from a dealer. I saw a set on eBay that I wish I could have afforded at the time. I'm assuming you have the 5-lug x 4.5/114.3 bolt pattern?

Keep your eyes open in the Parts for Sale/Wanted section. The Mazdaspeed's Racing Harts might also look ok, but probably not as good as the MP3 ones.

Edit: Both of these are 17x7 if I'm not mistaken.

Scroll down on the second link. I don't necessarily have any recommendations. The Dunlop SP5000s on the stock P5 and 01+ sedans aren't that great. Definitely the weakest link in the suspension/handling of this car.

I wish I could find an aftermarket site with some stock mazda wheels, for more than just 1 model. Have any in mind?

The prices don't look too great, but this place has a lot of Mazda OEM wheels.

Try your local automotive recycling centers, i.e. junkyards.

BTW I believe that the 98+ Millenia S came with 17x7 wheels that will also fit a 626. I know that 16x7's from a Ford Probe will fit, and the yards around here have all sorts of Probe parts. BTW speaking of Probes, have you tried the Probe/MX-6 forums? Your 626 is almost identical to a 93-97 Probe or MX-6 under the skin.

heh thats funny cuz I used to have a 95 probe se. I was a pretty avid member over there back then, till I got rid of it.

I just keep seeing the P5's around, and like the style of the wheels that come stock on it. I am growing tired of my friggin hubcaps.

I live in LA and the junkyards charge an arm and a leg, might as well take the extra time to find an aftermarket place or from someone else.

2001+ Protege ES Sedans have the same wheels as the P5. Keep that in mind.

Yea, I just noticed that. But keep that in mind if you're searching junk yards/eBay, etc.
