Thumbs up New wheels are here!

I finally sprung some money and got some rims. Since my car is slow, and I know it's slow, I went for style over performance. They're heavy...but damn! bling bling!
Here is a before pic:

And here is what the car looks like, now:

I got the wheels (which are eagle 17" series 9), with tires (Kuhmo Ecsta 205 40 series) mounted and balanced for $599! I could have had them shipped for $120, but I drove there and picked them up (mesa, AZ, about 5 hours from me each way) so I could get them right away, cuz fed ex takes like a week.
see more pics

Those look very nice... I really like white rims with red exterior... I'm not sure how they'd look with my blue though... I'm contemplating new rims in the summer but not sure what to go with.

I would definately go with a silver or polished finish with the blue car. You could probably get away with a darker finish (maybe gunmetal, or carbon fiber) if you had some dark accessories installed (tinted windows, darker headlights/taillights, etc). White and blue aren't too hot together. I personally don't like white wheels, but they do look damn good on red, or white cars, so I opted to go with them. Plus, I'll do the car up with white vinyl and it'll match pretty good. as for the lowering...that's definately the next project. I'll probably go with the eibach's or the h&r's because everyone here seems to think the coilovers ride like ****. Plus, the wheels are only a +40mm offset, so if I lower it too much, they'll rub pretty bad.

sweet ride

your pro looks awesome Joe. The red with white wheels is definitely different. I'm with Identity-X with the lowering. I have Apex springs that were $150. Rear 1.5 Front 1.8 Sweet *** Ride! Clean too.

Drove 5 hours each way to get them, Damn.

Hey, those rims look really nice on your pro, great choice! Get a nice 1"-2" drop, and it'll be tight as hell! Keep up the good work.

Talking thanks!

I'm glad you guys all dig it. It was worth the drive, because the 1 week wait would have killed me! plus, I wanted to go to arizona and get a pic of my car next to a huge cactus (and I did, too!) I bought them from East Valley Customs through ebay. he's always got them on there- either the exact same set, or he has a 7-star version as well. He's always got auctions going with tires, and without. When I went to the shop, there was no show-room or anything...he just does mail-order. But his web address is www.rim1.com and that's also his ebay id. Here's a link to one of the current auctions:Rims and Tires The down side is, I think he only deals in 4 lug (sorry all you p5 owners), but check for yourself.
And I agree with you all: It definately needs to be lowered now! It handles like a dream now, I can imagine how it's gonna do after being lowered. And imagine how it'll look!!

I wish mines was red too. But I'm repainting mines so...

Those white rims really set the car off. They look sweet. Like a whole other car. I know you love just staring at your car now. Looking out the window, walking backwards to the store. lol

They look VERY good.

Can't wait till you lower, then it'll be bangin.

BTW, If I got a second chance, I wouldn't have gotten Kumho tires. They stick for nothing compared to other brands. My next set are going to be Falkens(sp) unless something else better comes out.
