Just Picked Up My New Rims And Tires

A local performance shop had a sale on today, so I went down and bought some new rims and tires for my Red P5. Got some Polished / White Axis NEO rims, wrapped in Kumoh P205/40/R15 rubber. The tread pattern on the tires is really good for grabbing the roads in summer. A "V" shape, like Toyos. Can't wait 'till all this gravel and **** gets swept away so I can actually put them on!

All for $1700 CAN even... Hope I didn't go wrong.

How come you went with 15's? I'm sure they'll look good on the car (and can't wait to see them on it!) but just curious why you didn't go with a 16 or 17" rim? And 205/40?

lol, 15's ? And you paid $1700 cnd, that works out to about $1078 usd. Dude you got bent over. And why only 15's. I mean the car come stock with 16's. I got my Enkei 17" RS6's with Nitto 205/40/17's, and H&R sport springs for $1150 usd. Hmm oh well man its your ride, if you happy well...

Well, as you can see, the long hours have shown again. I was running on about 4 hours of sleep when I wrote that!

The tires are Kumho Ecsta Supra P205/40ZR/17. The rims are the Axis NEO Polished / White 17's.

Hope this clears everything up, and sorry for the mix up!

The wheels have been paid for, but aren't in for another two weeks. The tires are in a stack in my garage at the moment. Even when I do get the wheels in, I'll have them mounted an balanced, but I'm weary about putting them on until all this gravel gets swept off the roads up here.

Still though, I'll at least put them on, wash the car, take a few pics, post them, and then put the stockers back on.

man just lay them out on the floor and snap some pics so we can see, I do know they will look sweet on your red pro though

Bruce, yep that's how we do stuff up her in Alberta!

Andrew, sounds like a nice setup, just make sure you're not going to be rubbing on anything. On wider tires, you've got to watch the sidewall height on the springs. If you look closely you can see that they're already pretty close, so just watch out for that. If you're going 18"s, what sizes are you gonna do for rubber? Also, have you been getting any of my ICQ messages? I've sent you quite a few, and recieved a few, but when I reply I never get a response. Is there a problem on my end or yours?

Nick

Contemporay Motorsports had their once a year clearance sale last weekend, where everything was at dealer cost. Not big savings, but savings nonetheless. It's inside T&T Honda (Please excuse the swearing ) and although they're primarily Honda / Acura stuff, you can pick up some great bargains. I got my rims at their sale mentioned above. If you're really looking to go all out, check out RPM Racing. They've been written up in Magazines countless times, and their cars have adorned many a cover. Talk to Roberto there. Him and his Dad own the place. They just moved to 1663 32nd Ave, but they're not open yet. Millenium Auto Concepts is awesome too, Auto Zeal is a true "Ricer" store, but they rip you off like you wouldn't believe. Speedville isn't too bad, but they never stock anything. Impressionz Auto Designz isn't too bad, as well as Mopac.

I know of pretty much every shop here in town, but those are the best of the bunch. If you'd like more info, you can PM me.
