HELP, hubcentric rings

i am in a bit of a quandary. what is the deal with hubcentric rings? i need some bad, my ride has been **** for about 10 months. i am in a third gen pro (2000 es) with some 17" arospeed rs-8 wheels.

heres the problem. i know i need the rings, i have contacted all th local rim shops, they tell me that i need to contact who i got the wheel from, that they are all rim specific. i contacted tirerack.com, they tell me the same thing. so no one will sell me the damn things.

then, i get ahold of speedandstyle.com where i got my wheels, they tell me that all the shops are full of ****, that i just need a ring, it doesn't matter the type of rims, etc. and that they can't help me.

is there anyone that knows what the hell i can do? i need to get the damn rings!

Some wheels might use different rings from other wheels but you can definitely get some universal ones. When I got my wheels, the store set me a set of rings from Konig but they sent me the wrong size. The next set of rings they sent me were generic.

You should check some auto parts stores like Pep Boys ro something they may have some for you. All you need to know is the inside and outside diameter of the ring.

You don't really need those rings though if you have tapered lugs and a tapered seat on your wheels. When putting on the lugs, just make sure they all seat properly. This will keep the wheel centered onto the hub. If you still get a shake, you should make sure the wheel is balanced properly.

Just curious, exactly why has your car been **** for 8 months? Does it ride rough or something? I have some Arospeed RS-11 rims. Other than the fact that they are heavy as hell, I haven't had any problems with them.

well

have you put your stock rims on again? or gone on a long trip? its only really bad on the highway, it just vibrates horribly. its not the low pro tires either, its a back and forth vibration. i was beat to death on the way to nopi. once i put the stock rims back on last week to go to ATL for a concert, the ride was fantastic. no vibration. i have new tires now, so i want to put the rings on and get it properly aligned to get rid of this shitty ride. phyba_optikz on the board lives here, and he has the rings, his ride is noticably smoother with all of the same performance upgrades that i have.

I'll take care of it for you. No problem. I can't believe a wheel shop would not hook you up.

Typically the centerbore's outer diameter of all aftermarket wheels is 73mm. Then all you need to do is get a hubring with an inner diameter of 67.1mm to center the wheel on your hub.

I met with Arospeed at SEMA and will confirm the O.D.

Please PM me so I do not forget.

Thanks, Rishie

They will be 10 or 15 dollars plus shipping. $20.00w/shipping at most.

Try: Just for Wheels

You can put your car in and then the type of wheels...this will provide the rings you need and you can purchase through them as well.
