Dipping Rims

I was thinking about buying some 18 inchwheels in the future, and pondered about getting them dipped.

I know someone has got their wheels dipped before in the chrome plated stuff.

Was it worth it and how much did it cost ?
How long does the coat maintain its shine ?

Dipping refers to "chroming" a rim. Otherwise it's a powdercoat.

Dipping to chrome is mucho $$$. And as for sturdiness over time you're best off spending your cash on the real deals.
