CLR on Wheels

I was forced to use my 17s throughout this winter, so they're dirty. Not damaged, just really dirty with dirt stuck on good.

Can you use CLR on a polished surface and clear-coated areas without damaging them???

CLR-Calcium Lime Rust?
NO!
Start with car shampoo and sponge. I used Simple Green few times-it gets everything off, just don't let it sit on a wheel-spray on, rub and rinse. Do not forget to wax your wheels after you done.

Wax? I've never done that before. What wax do I need to use?

same wax you use for the entire car. in the future dirt and brake dust won't be sticking to your wheels as much.
As for brand....just pick one!Eagle One, Mequiars, California Gold and so on.

I tried a "Aluminum Tire Cleaner" today from Eagle1 and it worked worth ****. My dirty soap and water worked awesome compared to it, so I am taking it bafck for a refund.

Has anyone used Orange Oil on their rims???
