basic wheel question

i want to put some white 16's or 17's on my white 95 dx. my question is, what does all the info about bolt pattern mean? (i.e. 4x100 - 42mm). btw im looking at rota wheels at machiii.net.

4x100 is the lug pattern. Since you have a 95 DX, you are looking at the correct lug pattern. 42mm offset a measure of how much the tire is sticking out (or sticking in) from the fender.
