I'm looking into getting some nice tires for auto X racing, and I've decided on the nitto 555R drag radials. I know that they are sticky and I'm not gonna be burning out with them, cuz I want to keep my transmission, but the problem is I wanna put them on my stock 14in 91 LX rims. They come in 14inch series, but they are 205/55/14, and i was just wondering if anybody has been able to put 205 on the stock 14inch rims?

 

Do not get drag radials for Autocross. You won't be able to turn! Get some r-compounds that are actually designed for autocross.

Kumho V700 (Ecsta/Victoracer), Yokohama A032R, Toyo RA-1 .. anything except for those Nittos.

 

195/60R14 Falken Azenis are what you want my friend

 

I've heard that those Toyo RA-1's are some awesome tires for autocross racing. Have a friend who had those and said that he has never come across anything better than those. Do you know how much a set of Toyo RA-1 tires would cost me to put on my stock 14 tires. Probably some 195 or 205/50/14? Thanks
