Tips on Good mazada Service in Vancouver?

I'm closing in on 8000km and am going in for my first tuneup where i will also tint my windows. I'm concerned about whether or not my dealership has a good rep for their service department and will treat my car properly and not do a jackass job of it or run me unecessary costs. I bought my car from Signature Mazda at the Richmond automall and my dealer ship sales person was great but i'm not sure about their service department. Anyone have anything to say about this or any tips or adivce? Thanks.

I heard nothing but good things about Signature Mazda. I know that my dealership never screws me over (West Coast Mazda in Port Moody). Who's doing your tinting??? how much for how many windows???

Hmm, I'll have to keep those two names in mind for myself. Any thoughts on independent servicing for routine maintenance?

The tinting should be around $170 for all 7 windows, but i wanna tint the front passenger and driver side windows too so maybe around $200. It's a chinese guy that does tinting in the richmond automall, search for it i think there's a thread about it.. so i'm not sure what the place is called.

So if Signature mazda is good then i'll bring the ride there for tinting. But not sure of any independant service places tho.

Sig mazda was good... expensive, but good...
I got my first "tune-up" - it's basically a oil change and some top up... I figured i'd give them a shot for the first one, it ended up costing $57!!! and that's for regular 10w30 oil!!! but they washed my car for me, so i dunno... next time i might just go to Mr.Lube unless i need other stuff done too... cuz they only charge $30 for the same thing...

Oh okay, hey, did you wanna maybe go together and do a group deal because I was planning on going there too???

The guy's name is Chung at Speedos in the Automall. I've heard of him and how he likes chicken KFC style hehe (his weak point)

Hey okay i don't mind. I'm at 5500 KM or something so maybe in like 2-3 weeks i'll head down there. You can email me or something and hope we can get a group discount or something. Noodle123@shaw.ca.

Chumpman: Where do you take u're car in for the scheduled services? ( other than the regular oil changes and fluish stuff)

Well seeing that I'm just past my first tune-up I guess I'll keep going to Sig for service...

for performance mods I go to either Boom or GarageFive (I know some ppl)

for any car electronics, i get my buddy who gives me better prices than anything anyone else can offer (even cheaper than the staff discount @ A&B)

tell me if you need anything, I can hook ya up dude!

Re: the shops for services, find any shop you trust, get the shop to follow the required services at the km's, get them to sign off on the warranty book. Any shop can do the required services, only a dealer can perform warranty claims unless you want to pay for the repairs yourself.
