Ahhhh.. the meaning of life.
It was a sad day when I heard that the Douglas Adams had abandoned the planet...

Indeed. But as we're at coordinates ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha, you never know how many other world's he's still on...at least until the Vogons reverse engineer the universe to get rid of us!
I actually just finished reading all five books in the trilogy again. Great stuff.

I wonder if the movie will ever get made. Supposedly Adams was working on the screenplay before he died.

I hadn't read them in at least 10 years...actually had bought and never read the fifth one...thinking that I'd merely read it after having first read the other four...which took me a while.
Needless to say, I was howling with laughter all through them...expecially where Arthur & Ford end up after riding the Perfectly Normal Beast near the end of the fifth book. :-)
I wonder where Fenny ended up though? Shame we'll never find out now.

Well, you should...I'm kicking myself for waiting as long as I did.
The fifth book ties everything all together neatly...well, sort of!

Yes, especially since I happened to notice "A Salmon of Doubt" in the book store today...another Hitchhiker book...well, an unfinished one...plus lots of other writings. So there's really 5 1/2 books in the series...more like Douglas all the time!

I think I may wait and pick up the whole works as a nice box set, cuz you just know that'll happen eventually!!
Replace my very worn out current copies with a new matching set!
