Thumbs up Saw my first P5 with side graphics

In Edmonton, on the weekend I saw my first P5 with side graphics. It was a silver P5 with rims.

The side graphic was a sort of blue checker sweeping from the front and then halfway up the rear doors. Not too big and it did look good . The rims were dark with a blueish outer ring. Not sure the make as it was on the other side of the road going away.

Sure have been seeing a lot of P5's lately and it is good to know that they are selling. I see other drivers looking over at mine when we cross paths and we wave to each other. I have even got honked at a few times. Is that good or bad .

Uggh.. You LIKED that??

I see that silver P5 practically everyday. Everytime I think to myself, 'oh yeah, that guy is fast AND furious'.

Anyway, definitely not my taste, that's for sure..

I do like his rims, but have no idea what they are though. I'm not 'down' with all the rim brands out there.

I really don't mind it. Don't know if I would do that on my car but at least it was not bright pink . Also, it is something different to distinguish the vehicles and I guess that is what we are all looking for.

As for the rims, I'm in the same boat. So many choices and I know squat. In the future I will probably go with 17" though.

Like my escort!! My old escort had some SUPER bad decals on the side. A white escort with pink and blue decalling. lets just say i didn't put those on!!

True enough on distinguishing it.. I just hope he's got the muscle under the hood to back it up when someone starts dissin on his decals..

I look at tirerack.com all the time and just dream.... I'm pretty happy with my stock 16s so i'm not in a huge hurry to switch them up, but one day!!

I've been looking at www.1010tires.com and I'm amazed at what is available. One of these days. Maybe I'll just lower first and get usd to that.

Jason, I was thinking that way but the pickings sure are slim (at least from what I have seen) for 16" aftermarket rims. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Also, it seems that 17" is just about right and with 18" you get fender rub.

By the way, I think I have figured out that those dark rims with the blue edge are ROH rims from South Africa. I still don't like them but they do have red, blue and gold colours. Hmmm, Red rims.....

I'm going to drop in at CAL tire in Sherwood Park as it seems that the guy there is quite knowledgable with respect to rims and tires. Plus I want to take off my rims for winter and get steel rims with either all seasons or winter tires.

sweet - i definitly want to get some steelies and winter tires before the summer is through.. as for new alloys, eh.. i'm happy with the stock ones for now.. i'd love to get new rims, but for the cost and the 0 gain of power OR performance, i'll stick with the stockers.. there's too many other performance increasers out there i'd rather get right now..

After reading that 35mpg post by traveler, i'm seriously considering going after that header..
