Places to buy parts
Hi,
As anyone who has seen my engine knows there is a lot of black in there. I'm looking for places to buy stuff (nice and vague I know) to help out the car (and looks good of course).
I tried to find places local (saves shipping adn its in CDN $$) and I was donering if anybody knew anything about the following stores, good/bad/over prices/jerks, etc.
Autozeal - www.autozeal.com
Speadville - www.speedville.ca
Tunerworks - www.tunerworks.com
Contemporary Motor Sports = www.contemporarymotorsport.com
(This place seems quite limited on P parts)
While we are on the topic, I'm trying to figure out what are good mods to start with? I was thinking CAI, but winter is coming and I don't think it will have much of a problem with cold air. In fact I wonder if that might make it uncomportable to drive (longer to warm up, heater working more, etc)
Any and all thoughts would be appriciated.
Brian

autozeal.... unless you have a civic or an acura they suck.snobby too and the prices can be steep.
speedville.... Karl (owner) is a alright guy. he will help you out when it's within his power, however the shop is fairly new and there are a few lines that they don't carry.....yet
as for the other 2 i dunno
But you might want to try:
unlimited preformance on 42 ave se
mopac on 16 ave and 1 st nw
auto temp various locations see yellow pages
and a little tip... phone around and find the cheapest price you can on something and then phone the copmpetitiors and tell them that quote they will usually match it if not beat it.
post a few more specifics as to what you are looking for and i can help point you in the right direction.

tuner works if you drive a bmw, even if you do they are retarted, so don't bother with them, rpm is kinda new (on 32nd ave NE) i went there a couple times, they have some stuff but i don't know about their prices

snype, sounds like your in the same postition I am in. My cousin delt with RPM racing, said they were good, and the best priced. But he had a Honda, so who knows. That is probaly where i will start looking. Plus I know a mechanic at Volkswagon, and i think he can get good prices on anything for everything. Ill keep ya posted.
Ya the shortshift sounds good, plus in the spring a cat-back exhaust, and maybe start looking at cams..

RPM Racing is no new, they are there for years. They just move to the 32 AV this year.... I deal with them and Roberto (the owner) is very very knowledgable, professional. He is actually looking into performance mods... not rice mods. I think they have resonable price as compare to those $$ ripping off autozeal...
BTW, Roberto owns a silver P5 himself (I don't know if he still has it, but he used to around early this year), so I am guessing he would have a lot to tell you about the prof. mods for P5.
