Hello all, I just wanted to say hi. I am taking delivery of the P5 next week.

This is my daily driver, with another car in the garage. I chose silver to be on the safe side. The yellow is striking, but I thought for resale silver maybe better.

Anyway, my future plans for to install an aftermarket stero, and look into what can be done to increase performance.

Cheers all!

hey hondagal! yeah... after you get to drive your P5 around town, i think you'll wanna change your tag cuz no honda can compare with the feel of a p5!!!

as for mods, easiest non-warranty voiding mods that everyone on the board seems to do are:
1) MP3/CD playing HU (i've got a Pioneer, totally love it except for long load times b/t songs)
2) stock speakers are decent, but if you've got some cash and enjoy your music, i'd replace em!
3) sub/amp is always nice
4) AEM short ram intake or Injen cold air intake... gains of 1-5ish hp
5) Bosal cat-back kit... gains of 1-5ish hp
6) K&N filter, for $50 it's the best bang-for-your-buck thing you can do to your car!!!
7) mags n rubbers... but what ever you do talk to Rishie first... he's the GOD of protege fitments!!! hahhaha! he's ARD MP5 on this forum...

this is all just IMHO though... other ppl have other preferences!

Thanks guys!

I am from Regina... I talked the dealership into buying me a K&N airfilter for starters.

Oh, there is one honda that can out do the P5 I thought my nickname might get a few of you commenting. hehe!

I have looked into the AEM intake, but for now I think my bank account will have to group before I can do this.

another S2000 lover? yeah, a lot of girls i know really like that car... personally for that kinda money, i'd rather get a boxter... i mean would you rather say "i own a honda" or "i own a porsche"? actually come to think of it... i'd MUCH rather get a WRX , and tweak that sucker w/whatever cash i'd have left! but that's just me... i'm weird! i know!

The S2000 is one bad *** car! and alot of fun.

The honda out performs on the twisties better than the boxter or Z3. However, the twisties in this province are few a far between.

Anyone know what the service is like at Regina Mazda?

Silver in colour and so is my Honda. Kinda partial to silver as it does not show the dust as bad as the darker colours.

The RX-8 looks neat, but IMO it is a knock off of the S2000. I am new to Mazda as I have always been a honda gal

Alright Regina!! For a small city 4 people is pretty impressive. Soon we'll have enough people for a Protege meet. We could get some great pictures and all that.

You'll like your P5. There aren't too many around this city but that is slowly changing. Every month I see them more and more often. If you need suggestions with the car audio let me know. I've already done a bit to my ride.

Where do you work in the city?

OMG, I am gonna have to move

I saw a yellow yesterday at Dewdney and Lorne (Habanos) blue one today.. I started thinking, I hope this car is not going to be like a neon or cavalier, seeing them on every corner.

I work in the south end at the provincial health building...

Boring night in Regina i guess LOL

Hello Hondagal

Yet another from Regina here :-) im the red with tint and the bug deflector out there (oh ya and my red fuzzy dice(previous thread long story have a look))

My count in Regina for P5 so far that i have seen

Red x 4 im pretty sure 2 were different i know one is for sure... mine one with a ski rack one with a dog barrier and another just red with tint.

One yellow they have a yellow club (all i know for sure LOL)

One other silver (actually a freind of mine ) he has tint as well.

3 blue 2 i saw pretty close to each other neither had tint one works im pretty sure at Canadian Tire south and of course shawns

one black only saw it once

And one i cant remember parked at toyo tires on broad

So a few of us but i dont think it will ever get neon cav sunfire stupid and hell we will always look better.

LOLOLOL like anyone cares but Letterman is a repeat again !!!

Regina Mazda has been good to me and to my wife with her tribute which she has had for a year i was happy with my sales lady as well Kris may not agree but :-) he can enlighten you if he likes.

I got Mazda to do the tint as part of the price i beleive they used 3m trimline i would go there as Doug and company do very good work IMHO.

So holy crap that wasted sometime amd Whose Line is on now and i love this show LOLOL If i can help you with any questions let me know Kris is helpful as well and shawn will give you any great car audio advice you need sorry guys not trying to speak for you just saying from experience.

And to clarify (A honda s2000 and a P5 NIce !!! ) ????

AND yes punctuation is for well everyone else but me it seems sorry

You guys rock! very helpful. I just need the darned car. Talked with Mazda yesterday, got the vin# from them. They have no idea of ETA. Jeff the business manager is rather arrogant IMO. He treated me like this was my first car purchase. I have bought many cars in the past, and know the sales tricks. Oh well, don't stress over it rihgt!
