Justin,

So you're using the same lows I am (see sig) but you swapped the highs for Silverstars? I just want to shed some light on the subject. (Pun intended.)

I was thinking of getting the Silverstars for all my bulbs. Is it worth it?

Also, I was under the impression that they were only available in the US. That place here sells them?

Ya you can also get them at Auto Value stores I hear. I never tried because I found powerbulbs.com before I even picked up the phone.

Edit: What's the law for tinting in Alberta? I'd like to get a light mirror tint on all windows except windshield and was wondering if that's legal?

Yup thats right, we wanted to see how good the Silverstars perform before we invest in the other ones, which I probably will now! I should be getting the Silverstar H7 and maybe the philips blue vision for fogs...all from powerbulbs.com...free shipping! For $60 its well worth it! It's just as bright as the $100 PIAAs I had for my old Civic. And there are places here in Calgary that sell it, only the 9005 for us unfortunately, which means powerbulbs.com will have to do for the other two sets...and that place I posted only has one more set of the bulbs, but make sure you talk to a manager, cuz my dad went down to pick it up and the guy told him $49, which is WAY too expensive, so make sure you can get each one for $29, which is what I got...they work out to be about the same as powerbulbs.com, so its all good. The US is just as unfortunate as us as they only have the 900* and I don't think they have any of the H*.

No tint past the driver's shoulders. In other words, you can't do the front 2 side windows.

You see it on lots of cars, but it's definitely not legal.

But 99 times out of 100 it's used as a secondary offence. Jsut drive like a good boy when the 5-0 is around, and they won't bother. I've only been busted for mine once, and that was because he nailed me for not having red/yellow blinkers.

Cops have never bother me with my front window tint, although they are not that dark anyway. (35%) Maybe because I still have my front plate frame on & they know I was from out of town where tinting on the front window is legal.

I just have to say that that sucks that you guys can't have tint on your front two windows at all. In the US you just can't have it over 35% which is still kinda dark, but everyone does it darker anyways. Usually you don't get messed with around here though unless it's REALLY dark like Limo tint.
