Lightbulb Legal Headlights?

Does anyone know which brand of super white lowbeams and/or fog lights are legal in Vancouver, BC?

This is the first thing i'm planning to upgrade when I get my car. I heard that cops pull you over for certain types of bulbs... I know PIAA has street legal lowbeams but they're H3s, they don't make H7s! My friend had Xenon Fusionlight lowbeams and got a ticket cuz it looked kind of blue.. sheesh!

well in the BC law it says:
Fog lamps
4.11
(1) A motor vehicle may be equipped with 2 fog lamps, mounted on the front of the vehicle below the headlamps, that are capable of displaying only white or amber light.

(2) Each fog lamp must be

(a) mounted not more than 30 cm below the headlamps, and

(b) adjusted and aimed so that, at a distance of 8 m from the lamp, the centre of the beam is at least 10 cm below the height of the fog lamp.

(3) The fog lamp wiring and switch must permit simultaneous operation of the parking lamps, tail lamps, licence plate lamp and, if required, clearance lamps.

(4) The operator of a vehicle may use fog lamps instead of headlamps when atmospheric conditions make the use of headlamps disadvantageous.

[en. B.C. Reg. 476/98, s. 2.]
so basically the only thing they can ding ya for is mounting them improperly or getting non-white/amber ones... if you're not sure which one's are considered "white" (i'm asssuming you want HiD's) then you're supposed to get your car "approved" @ RCMP (that's wut all my buddies in richmond did cuz of the zero-tolerance policy ... they gave them this stupid "approved" sticker so they won't get towed/ticketed...)

Hey, didn't know you can do that... so is there anyway they can approve your car before I install the new bulbs? cuz i don't wanna take it all out again if it's not approved.. haha... like if I show them the kind of bulbs i'll be putting in..

how bad is the sticker? does it stand out?
Thanks...

the sticker is about the size of a parking sticker (2" or so)... and *technically* if the cop REALLY wants to be an ***, he can still stop you, pull you over, and inspect your vehicle or even ask you to come with him to the precinct and inspect your vehicle... but no ticket/towing unless he can prove that the sticker is invalid...

as for pre-approval, not sure... but i don't think you can... atleast i don't know anyone who has... everyone i've talked to said they just brought their rides in, and had it all checked out cuz they were sick of tow-truck threats...

but if you're thinkin of getting PIAA bulbs, i don't think you have to worry really... with all the new benz's/bmw's/lexus's/etc... that come stock with super whites, unless you live in richmond, it shouldn't be an issue... I mean have you seen that infinity claims it has "the brightest headlamps of all cars"? DAMN!!! I nearly went blind lookin at those things and they're still legal! so yeah... go for it dude!

personally i'm not gonna upgrade my headlamps just cuz i think they're better than most stock systems already... but a lot of guys on the board use APC H7's or Falcons...

If you wanna see what they look like... checkout nightowl's car:
