what is the stock wattage for the low and high beams for the P5 if you don't mind me asking? I have replacement 85W bulbs in there now.
Chris, switch them OUT NOW! I too had 80 watt bulbs and I caught the 'burnage' at the last minute! The stock wattage for the HL is 55 Watts and the HighBeams are 60 Watts. Take the others out! Get rid of them!

What Dion said is correct. As long as the bulbs you put in are 55W/12V, you'll be Ok. For the high beams 60W/12V is what you need.

Whatever you do, don't get over wattage bulbs. I did...big mistake.

Those might burn out and melt something if you don't upgrade
the wiring harness.

Dude, those WILL FRY YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!!!

It won't happen immediately, but it will burn up soon. The wires aren't meant to draw that much current, and will actually physically melt.

It's been said time and time again. Stick with stock wattage. Warranty doesn't cover this either, so unless you switch them out right away you're looking at some really expensive repairs out of your own pocket.
