I just thought I'd say that I've dealt with EssentialSpeed in the past. If you think waiting a couple of weeks is bad, DO NOT order anything from them. I waited almost two months for a simple strut tower brace that ES didn't even fabricate! It took them that long to get off of their *** and send it to me.

At least Andy answers his emails.

My only beef with ES is their header design looks like total garbage. an E-L header makes good power....if it's a shorty header. If it's a long tube E-L header I bet there is NO torque left in the motor. E-L long tube headers are for use on high compression, or F-I motors making hundreds of horsepower.

For reference, I own a 1967 Mustang GT with a K-code 289 from a GT350. The motor made 297hp and 312lb/ft. I added a set of Hooker long tube E-L headers and I couldn't even spin the tires anymore...it totaly killed my car. I bet the same will be true of the ES header.

Also, if their header was so good why is there no dyno of it? At least Andy put up a dyno of Jerry's car before he started taking orders. Jeryys car also had the Mild steel header on it. With the added heat efficiency of the T-321 SS I bet the header you guys got puts down a little better numbers.

Who is Jerry and what did his car dyno? I know Finn (aka, MP5Smuggler) had a mild steel prototype installed by Andy on his car and dyno'd for a gain of about 7 or 8 whp!! that was very impressive to me. I know the SS should be even better, but i'll be satisfied with the 7 or 8 whp that the mild steel offers!! Anything beyond that, i'll consider a bonus

the only 7-8whp gain posted was between cars, not on the same car. there's up to a +/- margin of error of 3-5whp between samples. stock for stock, on the same dyno, on the same day, two p5's can dyno anywhere from 98-103whp.

Jerry is 2k2silvermp5.....he had the first SS header I know of. I drove his car with the cams...then pulled the cams out and put the header on and drove it again.. I've got a pretty good idea of each feels. Both are very impressive.

yeah, I spoke with Andy last week and he hoped to everyone's shipped out this week.

Next week he's got 5 complete intercooled turbo kits to build. This is one busy guy.

I'm real sorry guys for the additonal delays we've seen. This is really the first time I've ever had a problem like this. Thanks for being patient.

I'm hoping to get my set of cams in within a week or 3 so I can have dyno numbers for you guys interested in a set.

I haven't heard back from him. I will call first thing monday morning and get the info for you guys. Thanks for being patient.

On a side note, Andy has ordered 20 pairs of blank billit cams from Mazdaspeed of Japan. When they come in he's having 2 sets ground to his specs...one will be the Stage 2 NA cams and one will be a custom set just for me (stage 2.5). It's going to be an aggressive NA cam made specifically because of my P&P work about to be done. My dyno results be a bit higher than the cams you guys will be getting but it'll give you an idea of what a good cam can do!
