MN Morries=Mazdaspeed?

I talked with the parts guy at Morries in Minnetonka and he told me that it looks like they will be the only mazdaspeed dealer in the metro area. Evidently they're supposed to get 8-10 mazdaspeeds and will be getting parts sometime this winter. I'll be seriously checking out whether or not we'll be able to get a turbo for our regular protege's and how much it'll affect the warranty if it's installed by the dealer. Anyone heard of other mazda dealers in the area going with mazdaspeed? I've heard that mazda is going to try to make it pretty exclusive.

I work at Morries, We will be getting more Speed cars than the other dealers since we are the Largest Mazda dealer in the Midwest. We have 3 Orange ones in stock right now, We have sold 2 Black ones to salespeople so we have people here who drive them everyday.

Stop in and test drive one.

I was just there and got a new car, Saw the three MS Pros too. Sure looked nice, didn't want to test drive one as I thought it would taint me and make me buy one. As they wouldn't let me do the Splan on it yet it wouldn't be a very good deal for me. They sure are nice, I checked out a 03.5 one at the NAIAS. It sure was sweet. Oh well I'll just ahve to live with the five and get some stuff for it.

dealers

Maybe it's different from dealer to dealer, but the guy at my delaer told me that salespeople aren't allowed to buy them. Maybe this is because they are only getting so many in. Also, my dealership wouldn't let anyone test drive it. It was they're policy they said. I was kinda glad that they didn't since I wouldn't want my car taken out and beaten up on.

It is dealer to dealer, We are getting enough where we can sell them to employees. They still have to pay full price, they don't get any discounts.
We have a dedicated Mazdaspeed test drive car. The first car we got became the test drive car, all the others we get go to our covered storage facility so they only have delivery miles.

I would also be very interested in MSP parts for the 03 ES sedan.

Nothing in particular, but I would be interested in finding out what was available. Will Mazda have a MSP accessories catalog?

We have Mazdaspeed parts brochures at the dealer right now, It is only a couple of parts but it's a start. I have part #s and retail prices for everything in it.

Greta, I might have to stop in tomorrow and pick up a brochure and check out the MSP in person. Thanks ukroadracer.

WOW

I stopped at Morries last night and test drove the MSP. OMG, I wish I would have known about them before I bought my ES. Anyways, I picked up a MSP brochure and talked with Lola Vavrica, very nice sales lady, and Petrick Keys, the new car sales manager. Pat mentioned that there were a few guys in the service area (one was a "service writer?") who both do mods to their cars and might be active on this board. One in particular had a yellow P5. Does this describe anyone here? Anyways, I'd love to get together, I eventually want to make my ES look like the silver ES on the inside of the MSP brochure.

Oops

Also, does anyone know if the MSP front bumper will fit on and ES? It looks sweet and hopefully requires less work then the Autoexe.

I work in the recon dept at Morries and have an '03 Laser blue P5, The yellow P5 belongs to Eric in service, he posts as MSPrep, Ignore mazdamech69 he is one of our techs, he's got an '01 pro and he generally likes to cause trouble!
The Speed bumper should fit right on - mazdamech69 has a P5 bumper cover for his and it should be going on in the spring.
