Michigan/Detroit area club?
Ok, thought I'd try and make this a bit more official. Anyone interested in getting a Michigan/Detroit area protege group together, please respond to this post and let us know what your thoughts are.

hey man, how are ya? I'm definantly interested in the club. It was great meeting you and I hope i get to meet the other guys down in the area as well. Let me know what's up. I still say we really need to have some kind of meet or something to get us all together.

steve, hey the 21st of sept we are having an upper midwest meet, basically anyone in MI, WI, IN, OH and where ever else is invited. They are having it at the Indiana dunes sometime that satureday afternoon. Check under the CAPP IV thread to get more info, it would be cool if all of us MI people could make it, see if you can contact some of the other guys also. Oh also we should try and get some kinda meet together in october for us MI guys, i know someitme around mid oct i might go to lapeer to do some quarters that could be a fun meet.

Wish I could make the CAPP event but my kid's birthday party is on the 21'st. Pizza and laser tag (grown-ups vs. the kids?) so I'll still be having fun! Would be nice to get something together for the MI guys and girls. October sounds cool. Maybe a rural road tour and end at a cider mill or something. Make it a driving and social event. The british sportscar club I belong to does one every fall and it's usually a good time.

Well this thread seems to have died out, soooo... I'll just say that I'd be willing to map out a route for a tour run but would like to get more opinions from interested parties. Central and northern Oakland county has some great roads that pass thru many lakes areas with curvy roads. Also to the west towards Milford and Brighton are some good roads and countryside. Of course we can find a cider mill just about anywhere around here for a stop. Any opinions on general area, how many total miles and a date. We should probably do this mid to late October for the best color.

I'd be interested, although I'm takin a road trip to the U.P. sometime around 2nd or 3rd weekend in october so it'd have to be like next week for me or else not till Nov. As far as for where, anywhere around S.E. MI is fine with me.

Boy, I was hoping there'd be more interest in this. Well I guess we're all victims of busy schedules and such. It seems a little silly to organize some for only three guys. Aren't there more P5 enthusiasts in S.E. michigan?

hey guys, what's up over here? the MI people don't seem to active. There are at least 3 or 4 of us relatively close to eachother why not just as a start of things some satureday or even some evening during the week meet for a couple and have a bit to eat or something and just get to know each other.

Yeah, a graphic would be tight. Something on the smaller side though. I'm not big on having huge banners across my window. Something like "Detroit Proteges" or whatever would be cool though. By the way, where about in the Detroit area are you?
