Mazda Rev It Up Planning

Excellent, we've got our own TC spot. Now on to the post.
I've been in contact with some of the people putting the RevItUp competition together and they are wondering if we have any banners to promote the club. I already sent an email to the admin, waiting to see what he says.
Also, It sounds as though they might need some help setting things up, I'll keep you updated, but is anyone right off the bat interested in helping out?
Perhaps this is the time to get some TC or Twin Cities ProtegeClub.com stickers printed, what do you think?
That's all I got for now, I'll keep you updated. Oh yeah, sign up for the event if you haven't already, people are having a blast there.

Stickers: Let me get back to you on that. I'm a graphic designer by trade, and I'll whip up a few logo ideas and post 'em. Might be able to find someplace to print 'em up cheap, too. Would you guys prefer a printed sticker, or cut-vinyl graphics? Vinyl I could do at work, if I sweet-talk the boss just right.

Banner: I'll talk to a friend of mine who makes them for a living.

I'll try to put something together by tomorrow (friday) night...

Sweet thanks!! What's the difference between vinyl and stickers? Do you know how any where you can create a "Dome Tag" similar to the MP3 Badge or the Protege5 badge, available at protege5online?

Those domed badges are really expensive to make, unfortunately, unless you're making millions of them. It's a bubble of epoxy over the top of the graphics.

Vinyl lettering is just the cut-out letters/logo/whatever, with no background. Looks great on glass, and easy to make. 1 or 2 colors only. The other option would be a printed decal, screenprinted or digital, full color, but I'd have to find a source for them and they don't weather well (fade after 6 mos-2yrs). I'm leaning towards vinyl. If it's done right it looks really nice. (thinking proabaly silver or white, for the folks with tinted windows...)

Gotta go; I need to find a Mazda "flying M" logo somewhere to trace!

I would be interested in helping out any way that I can. My wife and I are still trying to figure out if we can make it to the Rev IT Up. I think we are going. I'll let you know what group once I sign up. I can help otherwise too. We should all meet for breakfast and roll in like five-six cars deep to represent. Get those banners and stickers made. Peace.

The guy I was going to have make it fell through. I'm going to run up to Dick Blick tonight and see if I can get a banner blank. If I can get a black or dark blue one, I'll just do a really big version of the logo on it in the same silver vinyl.

When you talked to the guys who are planning, did they give you any idea about size for the banner?

Have fun "test driving" the 6. (Hmm, maybe I should run out to Morrie's just to get a feel for the car beforehand...) Just remember, you break it, you buy it!

I have no idea about the size of the banner. What do you got going on this Friday, I'd like to get the sticker on my car. I live near Apache Mall, by 694 and Silver Lake Rd.

I can meet you up at Apache Friday evening like around 6, if you'll refresh my memory as to where it is...

CO RD. D and Silver Lake. Either take Silver Lake S from 694 or take D West from 35W and Go N. on Silver Lake by the Wallgreens. We could actuallt meet in the Cub parking lot, behind US Bank. Anyone else interested? Maybe we can practice for Rev it up in the Apache parking lot, no stores in the mall=no cars in the parking lot.

Banner update & other thoughts...

I picked up a banner blank at Blick tonight. It's 2 feet by 9 feet, which is kinda big (smallest they had), but maybe I can double it over or something. I'm going to get the logo & maybe some other graphics on it this weekend. (Do you guys trust me to come up with something cool?)

Also, are we setting up a booth or something? If so does anyone have folding chairs/tables? Any other organization that has to be done? I guess we'll talk about it Friday...
