Where's NORCAL Prote's: LIST HERE
#32
Alright guys. Looks like we got a good group of people so far. In the near future we will help in sponsoring Club Track Events along with Driver Schools/Instruction at Thunderhill and Laguna Seca.
We have organized one for December 14 where we will be offering demonstration rides in Vehicles outfitted with JIC suspension.
Vehicles we hope to feature with this $1850.00 suspension setup are:
IS300
RX7 FC3S
RX7 FD3S
Protege MP3 and Protege5
Miata
3000 GT VR-4
Supra if possible
and more. We are limited to offerring rides to those who own a vehicle that they'd like to passenger in. I'm so sorry. We can set something up for the others interested in ***** and giggles.
Thanks, Rishie
Let me know what's good and we'll setup an entire event for Mazdists at Thunderhill. RX7's, Miatas, Proteges. The average cost for a full day event which should include dinner the night before and lunch the day of is around $175.00. Instructors will be on sight and the events are considered driving school events so your insurance should cover your vehicle. hehe.

Rishie,
New to the whole car ownership/enthusiast scene here. What all goes down at one of these events?
I would be interested in going to one, but couldn't make it to Thunderhill on the 14th. Although something at Laguna Seca on another date would probably be pretty doable.
Do you have plans to get an email group together for bay area/nor-cal protege owners? Perhaps we could set up a Yahoo! Group.
Thanks Man!

It's basically just for fun. Anyone is eligible to run on the track provided their car passes safety and you have a helmet. It's the greatest way and place to push the limits of your car. Slowly push the limits that is, as you get more comfortable. Along with that, driving schools and such can be researched. Programs I intend to become more involved in.
A bunch of us are going just for fun. We happen to be one of the sponsors there in hopes to introduce some awesome products and show their performance while at the track. We empasize offering products that race proven with an emphasis on function over form.
Let me know if you just want to hang out. That should be fine. If you can talk someone into it you might be able to passenger with some 300ZX's. I'd suggest investing in a helmet. It's quite a valuable asset. You'll love this part of the scene. Street racing isn't where all the import racers are. The real good **** is at the track.

Me too! I didn't think anyone was on any of the protege message boards from Morgan Hill besides me. We have a bay area group that gets together all the time.
What's your car look like? I have seen a couple of modified P5s around.
