Rd. Atlanta Club Race - Crew?
Just wondering if any Atlanta "locals" with an SCCA membership want to hang out at Rd. Atlanta March 1 & 2. We need some crew for two ITA Miatas (but I do own a Protege- honest) we're running in sprint and endurance races of the weekend. If you're thinking about club racing or just like loud sports cars and getting dirty, this is a great opportunity to see what it's all about. The cars aren't fast, but they are reliable- that means less work for the crew. ;-) Send me a PM with your email if you're interested. - rob

Hey Rob, I'd volunteer, but I have a wedding to go to that weekend . I'm usually at most events anyway, so maybe I'll see you out there some time this season.
I usually crew for the guy who drives the black ITS Oldsmobile Calais.

whoa is me- I lost to a wedding. ;-)
Next time you're out there look for a red ITA Miata (there's two of them). Not my cars, but I get to race them for "helping out". Don't know when we'll be back out there again- maybe the next event at the end of March (double sprint).
btw- I'm familiar with the Calais- quick driver, I've watched him.

In fact, the wedding is for the guy who drives the Calais. I told him he was off to a bad start by going and getting married on a race day.
He should be faster this year in that we're building an Oldsmobile Acheiva with a World Challenge W41 Quad 4 and will also be putting another WC W41 Q4 in the Calais. He was a front runner when he drove a Panoz GTS, so these Oldmobiles should be interesting once we get them complete.
I've seen the ITA Miatas out there. Every time I see them, they throw me off thinking, "Hey! SM isn't running yet..oh wait, they're ITA".
