Hey zoomgirl, quick question for you. I was wanting my interior done like this guys, and I was wondering if you knew any kind of shops around town that do stuff like this.

Do you know who is putting on the show? It diesn't really matter I was just curious. I'm sure we'll be up there. My husband has a civic and so do ALL of the people we hang with. It would be nice to not be the only non-Honda!

I want to do the whole, entire dash. I think it would be awesome. Plus I have lots of graduation money ready to be thrown into the Protege. Someone on the forum posted a link to the show. Here it is. http://classycreations.net/details.php?event=18

Do you think you will enter. I doubt I will. I guess I am just too lazy.

Would you be interested in dying the dash or how did you want to do it. I know people that paint the pieces. That's what I did in my old SI. It looked kick ***. I won second in Civic class with it. Let me know what you are looking to do. I can get you some numbers for people around here and maybe a price idea.

I don't know about that show. The website seems awfully old car-ish. But I guess the show is supposed dto be all imports right? It's not like we have anything else to do. I doubt I would show. This sounds crazy but when we got back from the Lebanon show there is a tiny whole in my front bumper that almost looks like someone shot it with a bb gun. Anyway, I have to figure out how to fix that. It's always something isn't it?

Yeah it is always something. When I was at Bestbuy the other day somebody ran into my car in the parking lot. They hit the rear bumper and since it is fiberglass it left a spiderweb like crack. I was pretty pissed. Nobody left a note or anything.

About the paint. I was talking to K Dawg One and he said he had his panels sanded down so that all the texture was removed and then it was primed, coated with exterior paint, and then clear coated. That is what I want to do. I don't guess you have any pictures of your SI do you?

The show does look a little old car-ish, but they had a Tiburon on the website. I might call the director to get some better info.

I am a little confused. Do you have any example photos of where all the leather will be? I plan on doing the Katzkin seats, but that is all the leather that will be in there.

One more thing. What do you plan on doing with the steering wheel? I do not want to replace it since it has an airbag, but I also do not want it to remain gray.

ok im doing EVERYTHING leather .... like have u seen some bmws or some of the "high class" cars ... they have leather everything, even my girlfriends sister has a 96 accord and it has all leather and it came like that from factory ... thats how i want it .... the steering wheel , i plan on leaving it also but i want it all black and i want those lil dimple ***** sanded off ... and the lil mazda logo will be in chrome and the middle in red ... go with my theme .... but later if i get enough money i kinda want to put a TV in my steering wheel , we'll see right, not right now !

Hey sorry it took me so long to get back, but I work all weekend. That's the same thing they did to my civic. It turned out beautifully, no chips, cracks, ect. ever! There is a kid in Farragut that bought my pieces and as far as I know they are still fine. I have been trying to find my old pics but I don't know where my interior ones are. If you need the number to the place I went, let me know, It is a friend of mine that works at Hardin Valley Paint. That's all they do is paint cars and they are good. Anytime anything happened to my car, I always got it fixed there. They were the only ones around who would paint my front end of my Civic. No one else would touch it. And It turned out damn good!

By the way, we are probably going up Saturday after work. around 6 or 7. We both work until then so that's the earliest we could go.

Yeah if you could give me the number that would be great. About how much do you think they would charge for the door panels, dash, and center console? Hardin Valley is over by Pellissippi Junior College isn't it?
