I will be there. Probably show up around 6p.m. and maybe get in a few pics before the sun goes down. I definetly will hang out for a while, but no racing for me. Have a new baby at home, and 19s'...oh well. It will be fun to meet up though

why can't you race because of 19's or a baby??? The baby wont be driving........or will it?!?!
We're not street racing....we're going to a legel drag strip, governed, by cops, paramdedics and officials. It's the real deal, don't worry about tickets or breaking anything.

no, i just can't be gone that long. i will leave t-town around 5 to get up to the summit, then leave around 8 or so to get home to help my wife with the baby. just don't like being gone a long time while she stays at home. i will take her a chicken ceaser calzone from M.G. to enjoy....maybe a cannolli

Should we even bother trying to start up a "real" group??
Are there enough "regulars" to start a monthly meeting?? Let's take a roll call.

Ok guys, so I think it's safe to say our first "meet" was a bust! It was good to see everyone though. I blame our sucky evening on Topher and his lack of commitment to the forum and the club as a whole! I vote that his privalages be revoked and he be banished to drive a hyundai for the rest of his days.
Here's a quick list of the "minutes" of our meet.
7pm - just about everyone has arrived (waited forever for Blake....hemmhoroid problems or something)
7:30pm - told by local bicycle cops to close my hood as apparently it was annoying local vendors. I retalliated with a comment about him being a minimum-wage flashlight cop.
7:50pm - asked to leave by local bicycle cops. Told we either had to shop or leave. No changes made to our plans.
8:10pm - Told yet again by bicycle cop that we had to stand on the sidewalk to chat so it would look less like loitering. We wait on sidewalk.
8:30pm - Bicycle cops and vehicle cops (4 in total) now circling our cars. We walk over to investigate....asked to leave again....still waiting for Blake.
9:00pm - Blake arrives and we leave. Head to Arby's because Miller will have a heart attack if he didn't get something to eat!
10pm - Decided to quit waiting for people to show up and headed out to the track.
10:30pm-2:30pm - Raced and raced often. Matt yet again proved why he is the undisputed king of all that is racing when his ebay-intake powered p5 ran a 10.53s eighth mile @ 68mph and a quarter mile of 16.47s. Thats a good .4-.5s faster than other p5's/mp3's with many mods.
The evening ended with Matt standing in the lights of Lassiter Mountain Drag. The cool 55* wind blowing on his face. The feeling of victory hanging fresh in the now morning air. All was well with the world. I wanted to roll over, light up a cigarette and turn on Letterman. Everyday should be this good.
p.s. Then I got home and had to take mt wife to the ER. She fractured her ankle in her sleep. She's ok though.
