Ok, so I met up with Chris (Skyhawk174) last night. Was cool...we talked about Pro's and crap for about 2 hours. He's got a nice ride! ALMOST made me want a P5...but I love my lowly LX too much

Anyway, so after seeing how easy it was, I think that THIS Saturday night (July 13th, 2002) all us Calgary people should hook up. Nothing formal...just get together and say "hi".

Here's my suggestion: Brentwood mall (just off of Crowchild Tr. and 32nd Ave NW) parking lot by Starbucks or Blockbuster. It's big and usually fairly empty.

Anybody up for it?

Naw, you are also more than welcome, after all Pro_fan has an LX. I am more than into it and wish that I could have caught up to you guys last Thursday night, but tonight is no good for me. If we select a future date and time and I will make sure I have time set aside . . .

I'd love to meet up with other Protege owners, but unfortunately, my parents just did the paperwork today to purchase a new Protege for me! Perhaps if we set a date later in advanced, we could get a lot more people to come. It would be kinda cool to meet other Calgarian owners with Protege's. It'd also be fun to exhage ideas and stories and stuff. I'm a little new into the car modding realm, and i'd really like to learn about the different types of mods you could do to a car, especially the interior ones.

Well you are right, I did say that the black was not different and as I figured I wanted to be different, the yellow fit the bill.

As for Kelowna, it was HOT!!! When we got there the next day it was 40°C. Oh and one thing I did notice was the many P5s I passed on the way. Not many of them waved but I guess on those curvy roads you probably want to keep your eyes on the road.

Hey Pr5owner, did you catch the thread on the business cards to advertise the site? Sandman and I think TheMan designed some. I had asked about them so that I could leave one under a windshield when I see any in parking lots. I am also looking at making my own to spread the word as well as talking to Daryl who has some site decals. THe different types were shown in the parts for sale/wnted section of the site.

 

I would have liked to have met some fellow protege owners here in Calgary. Unfortunately I was away last weekend in Saskatoon. I had to go to a wedding. On the way back home I managed to collect about 15 pounds of grass hoppers on the front of my car. Loads o funs to clean off.

Anyway if any of you are meeting again I will be sure to look for the posts. Not sure of the ages of everyone here, but if everyone is legal perhaps we can hit a pub or something. It would be nice to meet some other people who have an interest in this kick *** car of ours.

 

Ya, a meet would be great. I don't have any mods to my car right now other than plugs, wires and kn filter but I'd like to see what others have done to get a few ideas. Best time for me would be the second week of august.
