i have a 2010 mazda 3 and i had a problem with the sunroof tilt going out on me. the slide works fine. so i replaced the control unit.and still the same problem slide works but no tilt just was wondering if it could be the motor? are there two separate motors one for tilt one for slide? two separate fuses? is there a meter test i could do perhaps to tell where the problem persists?
i tried to do a reset on the control but nothing. maybe i did it wrong.. i did what the manual said to do and still nothing. also i do however need to get a new control unit because the removal instructions only tell you about the four clips but there are six clips. and i busted the two nobody tells you about. NICE!!
So if anybody could help me trouble shoot this or has ran into this particular problem and knows the fix it would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you

 

The tilt on my RX-7's sunroof gets a little sticky sometimes. If I give it a little fist bump it goes up. Maybe/ hopefully yours is a little gummy too and there's no real problem.
