Question Strange noise between 1st and 2nd gear

Does anybody else hear a strange noise between 1st and 2nd gear? I haven't any problems since I bought it, but I'm curious. It sounds like one of those springy door stoppers that every child feels compelled to play with.

I assume this is an automatic...? Does it happen on hard & soft acceleration?

Though do pay very close attention to how fast you're going when the sound happens. I have one that occurs the first time you pass 12MPH after starting the car. It's a test of the ABS system, some relay or solenoid pings the pipes which sounds similar to what you describe. I'd bet that's it.

No it's a manual. I only ever notice it on slow acceleration, but i don't know what speed exactly. The ABS theory makes sense though. Thank you!!
