First time owner of a 05' Mazda 3 A/T. I bought this car thinking I might fix it for my daughter. The drivers side motor mount bracket broke and the engine fell towards the front of the car. I've got everthing located to repair but I can't get it to shift out of park. Thinking it might be the trans I disconnected the cable and it still won't move. Does the car need power for the shifter to move? Do these cars have a slot for the key to over ride the shifter? I've pushed the brake pedal through the floor and still nothing. HELP I don't want the invest anymore money if this is a big deal.
