Changing rear top plates

Hi all!
My car is a 2001 Protegé ES-GT. I bought the 2 rear top plates (as in strut mount or upper mount; p/n B25D-28-380B) and before I dissassemble everything, is there something I need to know before I change the 2 rear top plates? Or best, has anyone done a step-by-step procedure? Upon buying the plates, I assumed it was a DIY job...

Oh, I forgot. Everything is original mazda stuff.

Thanks!
