omg,....lamer than I could've possibly imagined.

It's got all of the fear-factor of a sperm whale and walrus combined.

 

gawd i hope that's a fake...it will be such a letdown if that's it.

 

i think it looks cool, but i guess we'll see on the big screen. there's a large difference between what an artists drawing looks like vs 3dcg

 

well, that's kind of a big critter. it could use a nice set of menacing teeth because right now i don't think extra crispy (buildings) is a good idea. maybe animals and humans, but it needs something bigger. not like we're in the ocean to be inhaled as it swims through.

in the end, i think it looks cool enough, just needs an angrier/creepier set of teeth/mouth to not come off so chummy looking. as it stands, i think i could become friends with it.

 

theres been a lot of viral marketing for this movie done so i would NOT be surprized if it was a hoax image. i havent seen it yet myself, but im glad the producers were able to generate this much buzz without flooding the media with clips and trailers that give away the entire movie.

 

well, i went and saw it friday. turns out this pic, while not necessarily fake, is NOT what the monster in the movie is... it is, imo, MUCH more menacing. It turns out this was an early concept drawing.

anyway, i thought it was a well done movie, i really liked it

 

i heard about it...supposedly the "parasites" were in it also, though not as large as shown in the drawing...

yeah, the parasites were still there, though they also didn't look the same. not crabby, but more 'flea-like' maybe

 

Did you get nauseated at all from the shaky camera movement?

My girl gets car sick easily so I'm thinking of not watching this movie with her.
