the mazdaspeed/mp3 exhaust is just a muffler. It MAY give you a 2-3whp gain but I wouldn't count on it.

If you want some solid upgrades you should try a few of these mods.

thunder header (sold by kargoboy on this forum)
magnaflow catback exhaust (sold by protegegarage.com)
Simota cold air intake (also sold by kargoboy)
front solid motor mount (sold by AWR)

this is of course assuming you've kept your car 100% up to date on all required maintenance.. That should always be your first mod.

p.s. I see you live in GA, I'm in birmingham, AL but I'll be in ATL this weekend at zoom zoom live at the speedway. You should come out.

The P5 is a little shorter than regular Proteges. It would fit but the muffler wouldn't be visible from the bumper.

that's big no...

P5 has a shorter rear end I believe so it(P5 axle back) wouldnt be long enough for a sedan...

it's saturday or sunday...depending on what day you sign up for.

there are no parts for sale....just car demos and driving stuff. If you need parts you'd be better served shopping from the vendors on this forum.

From back-to-front, on a 2.0L:

Axle-back portion (with muffler), S-pipe, Resonator (one piece stock, 2 pcs most cat-backs),
Catalytic convertor, Mid-pipe (p-garage offers a high-flow cat/mid-pipe as one piece, very nice but not cheap), downpipe (stock unit includes pre-cat), exhaust manifold (the Thunder header keeps the DP and Mani a two-piece, most headers are one).

i'm assuming you mean the oxygen sensor. if he messed up the sensor itself, then it will have to be replaced. if the check engine light is on because he took the cat out and the sensor is reading unfiltered exhaust, you can "fool" the computer with a MIL-fix. (resistor, capacitor, and wire) Matty used to sell them, he probably still has a few.
