I know someone who has been trying to sell a 2002 Protege for a while but hasn't been able to find a buyer for it. I thought I'd drop a line here and see what kind of interest that car should generate.

I don't know much about it, except that it's a 2002 Protege 5 5-speed, red, probably with average miles and in good condition.

I know that's not much to go on. I'm just curious if the market is really that dead or if they just haven't advertised in the right places.

Hey I've been trying to find an '01 or '02 manual Protege ES for over three months now. Please post some more details and pictures. I have recently found a potential seller, and I'm hoping to make that deal happen, but I'm still interested in hearing more about your friend's Protege.

 

Oh, I just saw you had written Protege 5. I'm only interested in the ES model. Sorry 'bout that.

 

The Protege has 24000 miles and I'm told has lots of options, like leather seats. Sorry, no photos yet. It blue books at something like $11,000. Can my friend expect to get that for it?

 

In the SF Bay Area, they're more like $9500-$10,000. Maybe $11,000 at a dealer.
That's pretty low milage, though. Is it an auto or stick?

 

It's a 5 speed manual.
