Mazdaspeed front sway bar

Just got my Mazdaspeed sway bar kit today, and looking at the instructions it says to remove the front crossmember to install the front bar. I came here and have been looking around, sounds like this is true. I can't get under my car to look at it (raining and no garage), but given all the smart people on here I figure someone may have figured out a way to replace it without removing the crossmember. Or do I just need to plan on a long weekend?! Any help would be appreciated.

the front crossmember isn't that hard to remove. if i remember right, it's only a few bolts. i think there are 4 total. the crossmember just drops after that. it's pretty heavy, so have a second set of hands ready.

Thanks guys. From what I gather looking at the instructions, the biggest PITA is all the ancillary stuff you have to remove on the front to drop the crossmember. Still, good to know so I can plan. I will be replacing struts/springs at the same time, and may do the engine mounts as well. Depends upon how much daylight I have!
