optimum ground points

I had left over wire with a really low resistance (>.01 ohm) and a bunch of terminals, so I made some ground wires. Any advice as to the optimum grounds?

straight to the chassis where there isnt any paint.

i just hit the inner fender or firewall with a sanding wheel on a die grinder in one spot so as to remove the paint, drill a hole and thread it.
