18" Rim question

Just wonder if any of you guys have 18" rims on your car. If so, what offset should i get. I had +42 offset, with 215/35/18 tires and when my car was loaded, they rubbed on the rear fender. Just wondering if +45 would do, or should i go with +48. Thanks! Jeff

Im doing the same thing to my car, so I know what ya mean. Ive been told on many occasions that if you have a sedan, a 45+ offset will be fine with 215/35/18 tires. If you have a Protege 5, a 48+ offset would be better for you.
