1st gen turbo swap

Hi , I’m planning to swap the SOCH engine from my protégé (B8ME) to a 1.8L turbo engine (BPZET), I know that this is a pretty straightforward swap, my concern has to do with the tranny, I have an automatic transmission and I was wondering if it’s strong enough to handle the torque and HP from the turbo engine.
Any info will be appreciated
Thanks
Jack

Get the DOHC tranny, clutch and fly wheel. Your auto tranny will not be a very good idea.

The AWD tranny is weaker than the DOHC tranny, IIRC. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
